If you have a day to spend on San Juan Island, make sure you go see Susie and her great staff at Susie’s Mopeds. We rented a Scoot Coupe and had the time of our lives! The friendly staff walks you through the whole island on a map and tells you all the cool places to stop. After a safety lesson, they send you on your way and these things are so much fun to drive! You really connect with the beauty of the island with the wind in your face feel you get with the coupe, all of the sights, sounds, and smells that make this place amazing.
“Fell in love with a Scootcoupe”

This was one of the funnest activities I have ever done on a quick getaway vacation. My husband and i rented a scootcoupe to drive to american camp. It was a great sunny day but a little cold, they gave us helmets, gloves and a blanket to ride with. We each took turns driving it and had a blast. In fact my ears got so cold and I didn’t want to stop. It was the most fun I’ve had 1at 30 miles an hour. I wish there had been special lanes for these fun little vehicles. We were both adults but this would be great for slightly older or teenagers too. I think you have to be 21 to drive them though.
“Great way to tour the Island”

We saw the “Scoot Coupes” featured in a local travel program and decided to try. Great choice. The staff is most friendly and helpful.
The weather was perfect, dry, clear and warm. The Coupe has a max speed of about 30 mph and doesn’t take much getting used to. We toured the American Camp, English Camp and Roche Harbor.
It should be a definite thing on your “to do” list for San Juan Island, especially if it isn’t raining.
Warning: these are very popular and rent out quickly. Be sure to reserve one ahead of time.
