SCOOT COUPE??!! It’s a what?
Many visitors to Friday Harbor often stop and wonder about one of our more popular vehicles. The Scoot Coupe is a fun choice because it allows for two people to ride together while giving them a more moped-like experience. Reminding many people of something from “The Jetsons”, Scoot Coupes are a popular item at Susie’s Mopeds.
Scoot Coupes have a small trunk, so pack a picnic lunch to take with you!
Inside the Scoot Coupe, you’ll find that many of the controls are similar to that of a moped. All controls for headlight, turn signals and the emergency brake are at your fingertips. Hand operated throttle and brakes allow a lot of legroom.
Scoot Coupes also feature seat belts for safety. Driver and passenger are required to wear helmets and eye protection at all times.
Scoot Coupe Rates
$70.00 per hour / $150.00 per day
- 2 people, combined weight 375 lbs max.
- Passenger must be at least 5 years of age.
The Scoot Coupe is a great way to explore San Juan Island with family and friends.
Rental Requirements:
- Operator of the Scoot Coupe must be at least 21 years of age.
- Passenger must be at least 5 years of age.
- Driver must have a valid drivers license with them at time of rental.
- All participants must sign a registration and release form and participate in the Scoot Coupe safety training and orientation.
Credit card: We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover for the required damage/security deposit.
Rates:
- $70/hour, $150/day for Scoot Coupe.
- Rates are prorated after after the first hour in 15 minute increments. After 2 1/4 hours, a day rate is applied.
- Prices include: helmet, review of equipment, island map and a full tank of gas.
- All Scoot Coupes must be refilled with gas by the renter prior to returning the Scoot Coupe to avoid a gas charge (rate is posted at rental location).
- No overnight rentals. All Scoot Coupes must be returned by our designated closing time.
